☀️ Spring (April to June): Albania in Bloom
Why go?
- Ideal for hiking and city exploring: mild temperatures and few tourists
- Lush green landscapes and blooming flowers
- Affordable prices, especially outside Easter holidays
Average temperatures: 18°C to 26°C depending on the region
Budget: €35–50 / day / person (please beware : albania prices move fast ! this information could be wrong in a few months)
Crowds: Low, except around Tirana
Our take: Perfect for curious minds, photographers, and nature lovers
🌞 Summer (July–August): Beach Season
Why go?
- For the beaches of the Riviera: turquoise sea and festive vibes
- For festivals and nightlife in Tirana
Temperatures: Up to 38°C in the south!
Budget: €50–70 / day / person (or even more along the southern coast)
Crowds: Very high in tourist hotspots (Ksamil, Dhërmi…)
Our take: Best to avoid if you seek calm or want to stick to a budget
🌻 Autumn (September–October): The Perfect Balance?
Why go?
- Sea still warm until mid-October
- Great for hiking: autumn colors in the Albanian Alps
- Fewer tourists, cheaper accommodation
Temperatures: 22°C to 28°C (Sept), 15°C to 20°C (Oct)
Budget: €35–45 / day / person
Crowds: Low, except on the coast
Our take: The best weather/calm/price combo. That’s when we went, we loved it ! Saranda is animated until end of september.
❄️ Winter (November to February): For the Locals
Why go?
- Ideal for experiencing Albania without the tourists
- Super low prices for lodging and food
Temperatures: 2°C to 12°C depending on the region (rainy in the South, snowy in the North)
Budget: €25–40 / day / person
Crowds: Very low (except during the holidays)
Our take: Not for sun seekers, but great for slow travelers or digital nomads looking for peace
✅ Our Recommendation:
- May / June and September are the most pleasant months
- Avoid July–August if you want to escape crowds and keep costs low
- Even in winter, cities like Berat, Gjirokastër, or Shkodër are full of charm
